Today on DohhhUp! Mano Erina's 4th single "Kono Mune no Tokimeki Wo" pv is released!



I think the first thing to notice is the quality of the PV in comparison to the others shes had in the past, there is definatley some money spent on this one. The white piano, Manoeri, and s/mileage really shine in the somewhat dark (in terms of color) backdrops. I really like the color mixtures with the browns and dark reds, and the fickle dead leaves surrounding Manoeri and the piano. Seeing all of this within the first seconds of the PV is really nice. There is a moment at about 0:38 seconds into the pv. Manoeri is playing the piano, a elegant chandelier is above, some stairs to the left, the large door, and more. I think its looks amazing. I can't wait for the HD (probably when the single is released. Its a great image.


S/mileage is present in the pv, but there presence is hard to tell. I have mixed feelings with S/mileage being present; I would have liked to have Manoeri by herself, but I suppose S/mileage will have more boost for their career, much like Berryz Koubou did when they did back up dancing for W (DoubleYou).

Overall the PV is easy on the eyes, and really nice to look at, coupled with a song that's nice to listen too, and we have a winner. Its her best PV yet, and in my opinion could be her best song (I'm having trouble deciding). Most people think it is. I hope you all would support her, don't forget to pre-order her single:

I came home from work yesterday with some Chicken Udon for some reason I had a feeling today would be the day my Nanchatte Renai copies would arrive, there was no package at the front door and nothing in the mail stating they made an attempted delivery. I was a little bummed so I started eating my Udon in the kitchen. I was about halfway done I suddenly had an urge to go downstairs, sometimes I like to see how clean my room is (sometimes my dad will clean it at work). The first thing my eyes locked on too was a brown box sitting on the bed. I was squealing like a little girl inside; I ran upstairs to get my food and immediately opened the box.


Of course, it was three 40th commemorative Nanchatte Renai, and on First Press normal edition also I had ordered Mano Erina's Hajime No Keikan. That's the song that really got me into her, so I decided to own it (I'll probably be buying mano's works as she releases them.) But anyway. I sat there, somewhat in awe, but I got an idea. I had three 40th editions, so I wanted to open one, but then I got another idea. Why waste a good CD? I can frame it! I left the house with cardboard, bubble wrap, and plastic all over my floor and ran to the craft store where I bought an 8" x 10" frame. Its about the same kind I used for my P9D photobook but just smaller. I decided on a layout, but it was hard to keep all the pieces steady as I put it in. After about 7 attempts I finally decide to close it up. If you look really carefully the mini poster is off the right a bit. But I was satisfied.

I'm really proud of this release, the girls worked really hard to get to this point, and even now Nanchatte Renai reaches 70,000 sold. Its possible it could hit the 100,000 mark pretty soon. The girls haven't had sales like this since the golden age of Morning Musume. Can 9nin revive such a historic time for Morning Musume? Let's all do our best to make it happen!

Formula Drift is coming up, this weekend actually. I'll be attending which brings back some memories. I haven't been into drifting as much as I used to these days. I recall playing Gran Turismo 4 hours and hours everyday, watching Initial D and Video Option, and anticipating the day I would go to the movies just to play the Initial D game. I was quite the driftaholic, It was a dream of mine to compete in real life, instead of just the fantasy of games and tv. And of course with the support of my dad I had plenty of chances of making my dreams come true, I dreamed of an RX7 just like the Initial D character Ryosuke had. I got my hands to drive quite a few of those. Of course after I matured a bit, I learned to love the car for the car not what tv character drove it. Anyway I haven't been drifting for quite a while, I did have a bit of a crash last year, but that's not really what stopped me. Actually I don't really know why I stopped. My dad put me into dirt oval racing, its pretty exciting! But I miss drifting a lot. I'm really excited to go to FD, I haven't been out to one in I think two years? I remember going to the very first ones when drifting was still very new (2003?) I'll be sure to take plenty of pictures to share with you all. This event might respark my drifting love who knows?

Mano Erina's next single is coming out next month titled "Kono Mune no Tokimeki Wo". I've already got LE-A, LE-B, and Normal Edition on preorder through CDJapan. The covers themselves seem kinda of bland. LE-A actually reminds me of my "Sekai Wa Summer Party" LE-B but with a better facial expression. LE-B is a a really cute face. As for LE-C, there is just something I don't like about it, on top of the fact that its boring already. Normal edition is really sexy! Even though the jackets are a bit boring, she can still make it work!

The song itself is pretty easygoing. It has a nice soft sound to it, The jingle bells and tambourine hits, make it sound almost seasonal. When listening to the song you almost want to rock your head back and forth. Mano's vocals have definatley improved its quite evident in this single, as well as her recent debut concert. Since the A-Side is going to be an easygoing track, I wonder what the B-Side track will be like; Will it follow Kono Mune and keep the single easy going, or will we be suprised with an upbeat style track like Nakimushi Yowamushi? If im not mistaken the composer for this single is not KAN (the composer from the previous mano singles) So its could be anything goes. Please check it out!

I don't have much to blog about the past couple of days except for Morning Musume. Their single "Nanchatte Renai" has been a very exciting release for me. After buying 8 copies of the album, its safe to say I've developed into a diehard; And lets not forget out the sacrifices I made to see them live (I quit one out of two jobs). In the more recent development of their first week of sales:

That's not to bad, but a lot of people on H!O argue it could be better. My CDs should be coming hopefully tomorrow, then I have to run over to the Golden Gate bridge to take picture for the group college we are sending to the girls.

I'm busy compiling the next PV/MV disc for the Sushi place I currently work at (Yo Sushi [Vallejo]) that I work at here in Vallejo. I try my best on each disc to blend Kpops and Jpops; brand new sounds with popular favorites, and then a few classics. Of course with my Morning Musume bias, I never fail to leave out a video or two of them. This week I've added the new Oricon chart toppers. Ayumi's "Sunset ~Love Is All~" performance from CD (That one network that places the Oricon chart thing.) As well as Morning Musume's w/OG most recent RR21/Nanchatte Renai performance on Music Station. Takahashi Ai's solo "Furusato" video is also present, I found an HD version on youtube I was pretty excited to find that. And of course my new favorite Mano Erina's "Sekai Wa Summer Party" is also included, plus a lot more general pvs. On the Korea side since I'm not usually as much into Korean music as I am with Japanese I usually just rip Music Core, Music Bank, etc. performances, And whatever HD PVs I can get my hands on. I really like T-Ara's newer tracks! I've also been becoming a growing fan of IU; I like her on the acoustic better though. Recently shes been collaborating with a few artists and the two that I've seen were pretty good!

Hahaha, I'm not really sure why I posted this. I guess I was a little bored. My Nanchatte Renai CDs shipped out, so now I have to blog about that! Also! Anim.o.v.e comes out in four days! I'm excited for this! I'll talk more about it after I listen to the album.

There has been quite a few appearances in the past week or so by Morning Musume on TV, radio, and other mediums. I'm going to do my best to put my personal input on the more popular appearances.

The first performance of "Nanchatte Renai" was their live at the Hexagon tricycle race? Whatever that event was. I think it was a seventeen hour event, and Yaguchi Mari was participating (I don't know all the information). But this was my first chance to compare their pv dancing with their live dancing (in terms of the "Nanchatte Renai"　choreography. It was a little choppy, but hardly noticeable. Its nice that they were there to cheer Yaguchi on. Later on a great performance took place, Morning Musume OG + Current Generation performed Love Machine. Love Machine is my favorite Morning Musume song and to see all the girls (well, most of them) past and present performing it togther; that was certainly something to see.　There were quite few live Nanchatte Renai performances coupled with Love Machine or RR21. But only one with OG. There were quite a bit of appearances with just general talk, but I don't want to go into detail right now, I'll edit tomorrow.

The one recent performance I really want to cover is the recent RR21/Nanchatte Renai peformance with the OG on Music Station. First off its quite a treat to see Morning Musume on Music Station, its been some time. It was kind of bittersweet though. I did enjoy the OG performing with them, but Nanchatte Renai is the current generations thing. I'm glad they just did the back up dancing in the number rather then sing with them.


Anyway, I'll probably elaborate a bit more tomorrow. I'm pretty tired and have to work tomorrow!

Morning Musume's 40th single "Nanchatte Renai (なんちゃって恋愛)" was recently released the 12th of this month. There has been a lot of anticipation among the fans since its announcement and the song itself definatley delivered. I got information of the 1st day of sale from Hello!Online, and they ranked number two. Right below Jpop's icon Hamasaki Ayumi. This is a pretty good achievement for the girls and its really a historic time for the group once again. There is a pretty good chance the could actually make number one by the end of this week, All of us fans can only hope and pray for such a victory.

As for myself I grabbed quite a few copies of the 40th edition. I couldn't get LE A or LE B in time, I had them ordered at Yesasia but then I learned about the sites that support the charts and spent my money at CDjapan Immediately. I really don't know what I'm going to do with three copies of the same version. I guess it would be a good reminder of how dedicated some of us fans can be at a time like this. I really enjoyed the teamwork we all had as a fanbase, it was just USA, it was a global teamwork effort to get Morning Musume to the top. And so far it seems to be working. I hope to have chances like this in the future, And hopefully this whole thing will open more doors for Morning Musume to travel around the globe. We can't just stop here at this single, we need to continue giving them support so that they can give it back to us.
